Helping Parents Build Stronger Families Through Character, Leadership, and Peace
At the PEACEMAKERS: A Kingian Nonviolence Leadership Academy for Youth & Young Adults, we recognize that parents are the first and most influential teachers in a child’s life. Raising children in today’s world presents challenges that no family should have to face alone. From peer pressure and bullying to violence, gangs, substance abuse, and social media influences, many parents are searching for positive resources that help guide their children toward a better future.
PEACEMAKERS Academy was created to be one of those resources.
Our curriculum equips young people with practical life skills rooted in the principles of courage, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, conflict resolution, and nonviolent problem-solving. These lessons are designed to help students develop strong moral character while learning how to become positive leaders in their homes, schools, churches, and communities.
Supporting Parents of At-Risk Youth
Every child has value, purpose, and the ability to change the direction of their life.
PEACEMAKERS Academy is especially committed to supporting families with children who may be considered at risk because of challenges such as:
- Negative peer influences
- School disciplinary problems
- Bullying or being bullied
- Anger and conflict management
- Exposure to violence
- Gang recruitment
- Family instability
- Low self-esteem
- Lack of positive role models
Rather than labeling young people by their mistakes, PEACEMAKERS Academy focuses on helping them discover their strengths, develop healthy relationships, and make wise decisions that lead to lasting success.
Parents Are Partners
Parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s leadership journey.
Throughout the program, families are invited to reinforce lessons at home by discussing topics such as:
- Respect
- Responsibility
- Integrity
- Self-control
- Compassion
- Forgiveness
- Courage
- Serving others
- Peaceful conflict resolution
When parents and community mentors work together, young people receive consistent encouragement that strengthens both character and confidence.
Building Safer Communities
Healthy communities begin with healthy families.
By investing in youth today, we believe communities can reduce violence, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and inspire a new generation of servant leaders committed to making a positive difference wherever they live.
PEACEMAKERS Academy teaches students that true strength is demonstrated through wisdom, self-control, respect for others, and the courage to choose peace over violence.
Faith, Character, and Leadership
As a Christian organization, PEACEMAKERS Academy believes that lasting transformation begins with a heart committed to God and a life guided by biblical principles. Alongside practical leadership training, students are encouraged to develop integrity, compassion, humility, and a desire to serve others.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” — Matthew 5:9 (NKJV)
