The Peacemaker’s Commission: Graduation, Commissioning, and Launching a Life of Service

LESSON PURPOSE

The purpose of this final session is not simply to celebrate the completion of a course—it is to commission participants into a lifetime of leadership, service, and peacemaking.

Graduation is not the finish line.

It is the starting line.

Participants will reflect on how they have grown, celebrate what they have accomplished, present the results of their Community Peace Projects, and publicly commit themselves to living according to the principles of Kingian Nonviolence.

I believe every human being possesses dignity and worth.

I commit myself to living a life marked by courage, compassion, justice, humility, and love.

I will reject hatred, revenge, bullying, prejudice, and violence.

I will seek peaceful solutions whenever possible.

I will stand for justice while respecting every person's humanity.

I will become a servant leader in my family, school, church, workplace, and community.

I will continue learning, growing, forgiving, serving, and leading.

I understand that peace begins with me.

CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every life represented here today. Thank You for the growth, courage, friendships, and lessons shared throughout this academy.

Fill these young leaders with wisdom, humility, and compassion. Strengthen them to choose peace when anger tempts them, truth when lies are easier, service when selfishness calls, and courage when fear arises.

Help them become bridge builders in divided places, voices of hope where there is despair, and examples of Christ's love in their homes, schools, churches, and communities.

Protect them, guide them, and remind them each day that one faithful life can make an eternal difference.

May they become builders of justice, ambassadors of reconciliation, and faithful servants who reflect the light of Jesus Christ.
